ugh, i don't even know why i'm wasting my time here but:
the best choice from my standpoint would be to buy a b18 with a p72 head, wether it be from the SIR-g or the GS-R it doesnt matter.
the reasoning behind this is mainly 4 things:
1) Oil squirters. though some people put them out of commission they can help alot in certain situations
2) B-series. These engines have been proven to take a beating. the transmissions are bulletproof and you can find the motors everywhere for alot cheaper than the newer K-series counterparts. Their aftermarket support is amazing and you will have no trouble picking any one of the infinite routes to reach your goals.
3) B18 tall deck B-series block. This block can be bored out and sleeved to about 2.0 liters, yes it is more expensive than a b20, but you are paying for the head and the whole rest of the package, don't forget that. the b16's don't have the stroke to give you the torque needed for drag racing.
4) P72 Head. This head is the best VTEC head avalible for a B-series motor. with some modification it will outflow and outperform any other head out there unmoded or fully modded.

Oil squirters are unnecessary when running forged pistons. People often plug them to gain some oil pressure.
Even though the aftermarket support is not as great as the B series, I would love to build up a huge bore H22 block. Pair that with a H2B swap and you would have one quick ass car.
