Im doing a 97 jdm b18c obd2b into a oo ek coupe dx. The motor is in, pretty much all the mechanic part iz done. But 1 problem the wiring part. When I purchase my motor the guy said I could use my stck harness for my jdmb series. N my friend whose helpn me wit it said to order a intgra harness, so i did, frm the same yr as my jdmb. Now neither one of them fits. So my questn is what kind of harness would i need, would an Si 00 work. Need your knowledge plllllllllllsssssssssss......

 

you can use a What year of integra harness? Gsr, ls? A 99-00 civic si harness would work. What ecu are you going to use?

 

it would be best to use your dx harness and add the wires that you need. that or shell out and buy an ex,hx,or si harness that alreay have the wires needed for vtec

you cant use the integra harness for anything other that spare wires. Integras use a 2 piece harness.

ok! I used 00 si harness, it all seems to fit. But Im pluged wit my (obd2b) dx 00 ecu. So I turn the key n the motor started but it died. Evry tym I do it same thing happends. Why iz it doing tht? iz it b cause the ecu iz dx n not the right one (I have a jdmb18c obd2a in my 00 dx coupe). Any ideas or suggestions......

 

ummm.... youre trying to use a dx ecu after you swapped the motor?

 

No Im using my gsr ecu. I finally got it runin but the check engine light comes on. jst when i pull it hard around 5 n half to six rpms. n lately when come to a stp the car dies. its idleing very low. but the engine check light goes away after i turn the car off. So wat u think?

 

could be a few things. you should check the code and see what the ecu is saying t is. could be knocking?

 

If you are using an 0bd2a ecu in your 00 coupe then you will run into problems. You need an ecu from an si or 98-01 gsr/type r.
