b18b rear mounting bracket????? HELP

I belive that when i ordered my 1995 B18B to put into my 1992 Civic Hatch, that I may have recieved a 90-93 LS motor. It is a JDM motor, if it were a 90-93 motor would it still say b18b on it or would it say b18a???
The main problem is the rear bracket that hooks onto the block and connects to the rear motor mount. However when I went to put the bracket on yesterday, its way off by like 2 inches, there would have been no room for the mount. The engine I got was originaly an automatic, would I need a rear bracket for an automatic engine????? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!

Does Anyone Have Any Ideas

if your car was an auto oringinally your rear mount if on the cross member in a little bit different location. there are a coulpe of outs to this problem, normally i see people just have the mount welded to the crossmember where it needs to be. the other is to get the steering rack out of a 5-speed car and swap it out. sorry to be the bearer of bad news but i have the same problem right now.
if it was just the engine and not your car that was auto you will need a 5 speed rear mount bracket, which is an easy and normally cheap fix.

My car is orginally 5 speed, the b18b motor was automatic, so do i need a automatic or 5 speed bracket????

Moved to Hybrid Forum..

The rear mount is dependent upon the transmission that is in the car.

If you've got a manual trans, I'm quite sure that you need a manual trans mount. The MT bracket angles inward toward the center-line of the car on my DC4, so I don't doubt that it will fix your spacing problem.

I have a 1995 RS 5 speed tranny in my car, so that means That I need the 1995 RS Manual transmission bracket, correct? Is there a difference between the RS and LS bracket??

i have a 95 civic hatch with a 95 ls motor and trans and that mount is tricky i had to take the two lower front mounts(torque mounts) off and leave the two top ones on and roll the motor to get the mount in there (i didnt have header on yet so the motor rolled easy)

the rear mount bracket from any 5 speed teg should work. it needs to be from a hydrolic tranny. i would try to get something from an ls/rs if you can and close to the same year as the motor. like ragecage said it might be tricky to get it in there.

could you take a pic of your old rear bracket so i can see it.

yeah ill take a pic today sometime. I figured id just order a new one from http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org today, rather than get the wrong part off of ebay.
