Besides, the D15Z1 is only 92hp/97ft-lbs. Pretty weak. You're probably confusing it with the 125hp SOHC VTEC D16Z6.

There's a stamp on the engine block near where the tranny bolts to it.

ahh nice work i have a

'D15Z8 1493 SOHC VTEC 114BHP (1995-2000)'

mine is the 1999 model in a deep blue (anyone know actual colour - changes to a kinda purple in places in differnt light) alloys, rear led spoiler yada yada yada.

which engine does the 99 Civic Ex have? My engine has 127 hp, 107 ft-lb tq and it's a 1.6L but i can't seem to find the engine code on here

thats the engine i thought it was...but my engine doesnt say vtec on it...is it possible that i have that engine non-vtec?
