B20 bottom end Q's?
Thinking of doing a B20 bottom end on a B16 head.
*Does the B20 bottom end use the same engine mounts as the B16? will it bolt into my '94 EG HB? *What work/parts has to be done/needed to bolt the two together (better head gasket etc etc? *Is it worth while or should i just get pistons of a ek9 type R and raise the compression instead?? thanks for any help!! |
Well,I don't know about the engine mounting. But definately you feel much more power on low end cause bigger displacement. Check this site:

Just like an ls/vtec but with a b20 bottom end. Yes it's the same motor mounts. No I cant answer your question as to if it's worth while as I have no idea what you have in store for your car, thats something your going to have to answer on your own. |
You'll need to at least replace the rod bolts in the B20 block to hold up to daily 8k rpms. You'll also need a Golden Eagle VTEC Conversion kit for the headgasket, dowel pins, oil lines and fittings necessary for the VTEC head going onto a nonVTEC block.
