Knock sensor
 
i was told by someone that on an LS/Vtec setup drilling the hole in the block for the knock sensor is not simple, and can acually mess up the block if not done properly, my other option was to go hondata,but hondata doesn't offer any of there system for OBD0, so is there any other way around it?any advice i can get,should i get rid of the block, can i use it and just drill the hole?BY the way i have a 90 b18A1 block

You can just ground the knock sensor to a body ground and then run the sensor wire to the ECU. This will allow you to mount the knock sensor anywhere where it can access ground.

Essentially, you don't even have to mount it in the engine compartment. Just ground out the sensor against a body ground and run the positive wire to the ECU.

Yes, but it's not able to read the sensor, because the sensor is basically saying "there is no knock" because it is ALWAYS grounded.
VTEC will work for sure, but make SURE u always run 93 or premium in ur area, or u could risk detonation.
The reason it's there is to detect detonation (aka engine melting and blowing up) because idiot people put in 87 into a high-compression motor like a b16a or b18c, so the engineers designed it to use this so people COULD run 87 WITHOUT risking detonation.
I didn't have one for years, always ran 93 and NEVER had a problem...
sway from this advice, and you are asking for trouble...
