Uberdata... learn it, tune it, fix it, fix it, test software, fix it... LOVE IT.
If I had the cash and a tuner I'd go AEM EMS. I Standalone. But I don't and don't, so I'll be switching between the Emanage and Uber until I know what the hell I'm doing.

I personally hated the E-manage. All the splicing, crappy instructions, OBD2 learning around it, and constant CEL's just made me rip it out and sell it for the price I paid for it all.
IMHO, i would go Hondata for the B series. I have it for the K and it's great. After learning Uberdata (which was very simple) and compared it to the Hondata software, it does not compare
I personally know the guys over at Hondata. Let's just say they are very smart

No-one has mentioned NepTune! Neptune is much cheaper than Hondata and it, quite frankly, blows it out of the water. 1/2 the price, twice the features... you can't beat it.

Things like individual cylinder trims, precise ignition timing control, on-the-fly switchable maps, spray control, user-conmfigurable 2-step WITH anti-lag (teh hotness), IAT and ECT corrrection tables, the list goes on and on.

What's the use if you cant download the software like you can for all the other tuning devices?

Its got many more features than Hondata (its works much better) and its cheaper: that's the point.
They won't put the software on the web because there is no specialized hardware required to tune with it. Hondata requires the blue box, and the k-pro requires hondata's own proprietary hardware. They can give the software out because it cannot be functionally used without the required hardware which is only available from hondata. Same with AEM, autronic, etc.

You're not buying a chip... you can buy the chip from moates (the uberdata kit)... like I said, there is no proprietary equipment. If you want to see how good it is, do some searching and talk to some users/dealers. Hop onto www.evans-tuning.com forum to see some more good info. I am a NepTune dealer, and I also tune Hondata... so from experience with both, I'll say that it walks all over hondata in features and price.
The fact is, 99% of people who want the ability to tune their own cars usually don't have any business doing so. No offense to the average user, but a novice engine tuner working on a full standalone is usually disasterous. There's more to tuning than just getting air/fuel ratios right and keeping timing below the knock threshold.
Stay tuned, in the short future there will be some serious ground-breaking developments for NepTune.... and currrent users will definitely not be left behind.
