problem with swap!!!!!

well i swapped a b18b into my car with a gsr tranny and axels, its all installed just spent 3 days figuring out my harness and wiring in new connectors for some things using wire digrams , i tried to fire it up using my d16 ecu just to see if it was seized and it cranks but misfires will my d16 ecu be able to start my car or no/?

it should be able to run it. depending on what ecu, it may just not be too pretty.

yah, the D16 ECU will run the engine, but please don't run it very long.... it will be lean and will damage the engine if run it like that for any length of time.
if it misfires you have something hooked up wrong. Is the check engine light on?

i wouldn't go with the d16 ecu for a b18 power plant. i have heard of ppl using the gsr ecu with a b16, but not a d16 ecu for b18. you wil have to adj. the timing, but thats given i wouldn't run it to be safe, thats just my opinion.

using the ECU just to start it should be okay but i would only let the car run for like 5-10 seconds,..when you use the D16 ECU, there is going to be fuel starvation
