Boost question?
Was wonderin if i could get some advice by you well knowledged Honda foolios.....i got a 96 LsVtec with a buit block with low compression injectors and etc....so my question is what would be the max boost i could crank it up to without blowing crap up....Like just for when i go to the track....Help!!
I agree, with good tuning you should be able to run at least 15lbs of boost or so with no problems, maybe more. How "built" is it? Are you running forged rods and pistons? Is the block resleeved? What kind of engine management are you running?

Yeah forged pistons and rods....type R ecu....i meant to put a comma between the compression and injectors sentence Inspyral....Compression i believe was like 9.5 or 9.2 around there....block is not resleaved and its bored over so its almost a 1.9L i think thats about it....
The following is a friendly note from 1stGen:

Ever have one of those days where you're just thinking "now why do people have to do something dumb and think they're funny for it when all it does is annoy and cause work for someone else?" I didn't think so, me either

15lbs daily on forged internals and an otherwise stock block should be easily doable with good engine management(read: standalone), but I don't know about the bore, since your cylinder walls are thinner. But yah, I would go standalone in place of the R ECU, and you should be able to push around 15lbs daily safely with good tuning.
What brand of rods did you go with? A stock internal'd LS can handle up to 14psi on a semi-regular basis, so as long as your tuning is up to snuff, you should be able to run a bit higher without much trouble. Start out low on boost and gradually work your way up so that you can spot potential problems earlier, before the boost is high enough to have no return if something does go wrong.
