Depends how high you want the performance to be.

You'll get better results for cheaper though, even by swapping in something as mundane as a B18B

The B18B is still better then anything any USDM Civic (prior to this generation) got.

Yes, I do consider the B18B better then a B16A, let's not get in to that.

What am I lookin at if I want to run 14s with the D16y5 as opposed to the B18b?

A turbo kit for the D16Y5. The B18B could probably pull it off all motor without too much fuss.

So Kai, what do u think Im lookin at as far as $ goes in each situation?
Option 1: B18B 14 sec car
Option 2: D16y5 FI 14 sec car

yeah a grand for the b18 bolt ons, plus the motor, plus install,

it's all in the driving -- i've beaten built gsrs and ls's with my d16y8 on and off the track -- with a cai and headers.
