Engine Swap ?'s Kinda Long I'ma Newbie

I have a 99 Honda Accord 4dr with 4 cyl. I am not very familiar with honda's otheer than they are well built vehicles, that's why I bought it. Well here is the situation.... I'm almost finished paying for this car and I would like to get more performance from the vehicle. I was thinking maybe a V6 swap but don't know how hard that would be. I plan on doing engine mods either way. So which is better should I stick with stock or go with the V6, If so what V6 should I go with another accord engine. I just don't know what is available to me. I have looked at a supercharger by Ripp Mod. I just want the car to be super quick. So tell me what I need to do supercharger or turbo. I want to build over the next year or so. I also have a cap set at 10K for everything most to go towards engine swap and upgrades.

Can't say I've ever really seen a V6 swap done. Most people swap in the engine from a Prelude VTEC, which is called the H22A.

anyone else know about this. I just want something to build on that is solid

well it seems like a V6 swap would make more sense because it is/was a factor option in the car.....the biggest problem though is that they are pretty rare....

Go with the h22 they can bring you great power and are fun to build. this engine will be a fairly easy swap for someone who knows what they are doing but if you dont search around and read up on some things.

I agree, there's infinitely more potential in making power with a Honda 4cyl than a v6

Plus, the V6 only comes with an automatic transmission from that year, if I'm not mistaken.

I have a 4th gen Accord with an h22a and it's reasonably fast. To make it really fast though, be prepared to front a lot of cash.

There are a lot of options for the H22a. You can do pretty much anything, within reason, with parts that you won't have to custom order. The crank is solid - I've heard they can handle 400+ hp, but to get that kind of power you'd have to replace or strengthen almost everything else.

Just depends on what you're looking for. I wouldn't discount the V6, but as I mentioned, I think it only comes with an automatic transmission, plus, I can't see many performance parts being available for it, except maybe a cold air intake or exhaust.
