1992 GSR vs. 2002 BMW 330ci

I own a 92 gsr.

current mods - aem cold air intake, borla boomer series muffler

the beamer was stock. bastard beat me, but not by much. less than a car length. I had him off the line and into 2nd gear. oh yeah, his car is automatic too.

so what do you think?... with dc sports headers and a vtec controller, could I beat him?

DaGip 09-04-2006 09:24 PM

fuck yeah, i know this for sure, has similiar race when i just finished the port&polish, i got him by 2lenghts easy.

rascal 09-04-2006 09:30 PM

how much will port/polish cost me?

DaGip 09-04-2006 09:31 PM

well my mechanic did it for me for $700, very well done, noticed big diff. i think it should not be over $1000.

p.s this will make you beat the 330, forgot to mention it was the same series and was an automatic too.

1) Street racing -- and any discussions related to it -- are explictly prohibited under the Terms of Service.

2) Take it to the track. Racing on the street is absolute idiocy.

3) If you want to hit the low 14's / high 13s without resorting to forced induction, I would look at a fully built head... cams, retainers & port/polish, in addition to the header of your choice.

That will give you enough direction to start researching your options on cams.

sorry fellas, this kind of discussion is not allowed, and yes, i'm going on the probably accurate assumption that this was not at a track.

reno96teg 09-05-2006 10:21 AM

supposedly this was at the track so i'm reopening.

moved to drag racing.
