Default Painting Mirrors

I painted a set of mirrors, I put a lot of coats of clearcoat on it but it wasn't enough to give it a nice smooth shine. Anyways I put them on the car for a few months, and now I wanna finish them off.. can I just clean them, then spray more clearcoat on top?

when you initially painted the mirrors, did you take out the glass to get full coverage or did you just mask it off?

I took the mirrors apart, they're foldible
if I'm gonna add more layers of clearcoat I'll just cover the mirror

I know how to prep and paint parts,
but I'm just not sure if I should keep applying more layers of clearcoat.
I painted and applied clearcoat on these mirrors a few months ago, but the job wasn't complete.. I put them on my car anyways for a bit. Now I want to finish them off and add a few more layers, they don't look smooth like the rest of the body.. just wondering if I need to sand it down and start from scratch? or just prep it and apply more clearcoat

yup sand that sucker down you got to use a 1000 grit sand paper to make that smooth mirror image... But when i did mine i had trouble with the clear coat also the spray would leave a blurry non mirror image.
