Polishing Headlights....how too??
aiight ive seen few topics on this...most are very broad and dont really tell much? here is my question...what should i use to do it? ive read novus plastic polish is good but i have read that wetsanding with 2000 grit or something then 3m rubbing compound works also?? if anyone has done this.....please tell me how u did it....i want to remove some scratches and rock chips (usual wear and tear) from my 94 accord's headlights....thanks :)

i sanded with 1500-2000 grit sandpaper and used 3m's perfect it 2 rubbing compound ...works pretty well.... not perfect but hella better than what i began with

You can use Meguiars number 9 to polish them out. After that get a set of headlight protectors from www.rockblocker.com. It will stop the lights from pitting and/or cracking. you will also see better because the lense is protected.

If you are good with a buffer you could always polish them with that. Goes faster than your hand, right?

I actually used a compound that polishes and cleans my fish tank! :) It's made for plastic and takes out scratches as well as buffs the little ones out.
