Simple Green + a little elbow grease usually suffices for me

Spray on a bunch of Simple Green..............let sit for a while...........maybe even use some elbow grease on the really dirty areas...........spray clean (keeping a direct spray away from key components; i.e. electrical)...........done.

dude......just take a plastic bag...cover the distributor and possibly the fuse box(with the lamp wiring harness near it).......and..... hose it down with water......(that is if yor near the equator and the engine bay is filled with mud)......but if its not that dirty..compressed air works jaz fine
