Default DIY Strut bars? Possible?

Hey,

I was just pondering for a little bit. Would it be possible to create a strut bar if you had the correct measurements needed? I mean, could you go out, get some strong metal pieces, cut them into the correct sizes, and have a shop weld them together for you? Maybe I'd be easier just to buy one, but do you guys think its possible?

its just steel man. and any replica bar will suck balls because it has those damn pivot points on them. a solid design is the only kind that makes a noticable difference

your best bet is to cut a rather thick sheet of steel to fit over the strut bolts on each side. Leave a space on the end long enough to weld square tubing to. Make the custom strut bar out of square steel tubing, weld everything together, and viola. That should probably work better than any generic strut bar with moving parts.
