Default Heat Shield

What if one were to remove the heat sheild that covers the exhaust manifold? Would anything extremely bad happen? I'm not sure why I want to do this, but I've decided it must happen (yea I know, wtf). Sounds like fun. I know it's easily replacable and removable. I like turning wrenches. Any objections?

You're gonna heat up your engine bay... which is where your stock intake or short ram gets air to suck in. Bad.

That's why people thermal wrap their aftermarket headers.

Not only does it keep the air cooler, but by keeping the heat in, the exhaust manifold will work better.

Yeah. I painted mine (high temp) glossy black. It looked a lot better afterwards. Dont overtighten the bolts when you reinstall.

Yea I was considering the exhaust wrap for summer, but winter I figured I'll keep it hot (the heater will warm up fast haha). How does one get this high temp paint?
