I have to replace the passenger side boot on my EG. got the entire axle out of the car. got the boot off.
can anyone tell me how to get the damned shaft seperated from the cv joint. The boot kit contains two circlips for replacement during servicing. I can't even see the thing.

 

Put the axel in a vice with the end that ur changing the boot facing down. take a hammer and hit the end of the axel. It will come off and u will see the clip. I am telling ur from personal experience use the old clip. U have to kinda work the clip back into the end of the axel. I hope it helps.
