Master cylinder change advice Plz.
Hey guys I'm new here and I am trying to help out my little cousin with her first car. It is a 86 2 door accord lx. I am trying see if there is anything special that I need to do to install a new master cylinder for her. She is young and the guy at the shop wants almost 150. It looks like something that I can do so I just want to make sure being that I have never worked on an import before. The concept seems the same as any other car though. I need to know does the resovoir (that is held on by a clamp need to be put on the master c. It has two wires that are attached to the cap. After removing the two brake lines is all thats left is to remove the two bolts (or nuts not sure) that hold the master c. on? Then just pull it off? It looks simple but from past experience anything that I have presumed to simple turns out to be a true headache. I just want to help her without messing up anything. If someone here can please set me up with what I need to know to complete the job successfully I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance
Big Tone.

It's about the same as most other car. The MC I got for my '95 Integra had a new reservoir with a new cap. Just unplug the wires. They're for a low-fluid idiot light on the dash.
There's a special tool which just measures how far the push-rod sticks out from the MC. When I did mine (without the tool), the new & old push-rods matched exactly, so I didn't have to adjust the booster. I don't know whether that's the same in '86??
Bench-bleeding... Get some tubing to stick in the MC fluid ports. Put it into the reservoir, fill it, & pump fluid thru the tubes back into the reservoir. If you don't do this it'll take a long time to bleed all the air out thru the brake lines.
You do know how to bleed brakes, right??
