Help, need to fix: Gauges and Odometer remain off?
So i left my 99 Acura TL for the weekend exposed to the sun in Rowland Heights, CA (Los Angeles county) and when i came back, it was really strange.
I turned my car on, and only the Hot/Cold gauge responded. All the other gauges, my speedometer, rpm gauge, fuel gauge, and even the electronic odometer remained off! Lights work just fine and the car runs just fine.
i just can't tell how much fuel i have, how fast i'm going, how much mileage i've accumulated, but i can drive just fine.
i don't know if i've missed something, but i've tried looking at the fuses and they seem fine and not relevant to the operation of the gauges in the first place. I hope i didn't fry some expensive computer chip.
i also disconnected the battery terminal for 2 hours, but that didn't really do anything.
i don't even know how the gauges and odometer run and what to check.
anyone have a guess on what the heck is wrong and how i fix it w/o going to a dealer? they want to charge me $80 just for an inspection.
thanks.

hey, i don't know if you've already fixed the problem since u posted this a few months ago, but i ran into the same thing. i found out that it was just a fuse that blew out, it was under the 'Meter' slot in my fuse box. hope that helps.
