element mnct req'd light

I just changed my oil on the Element but the manual does not say how to turn off the maintenance required light. Anyone one know?

I find this one thing about Honda I get annoyed with.. It was the same way with my old Integra...

The owners manual for my Silverado has the information for clearing the alarms right in it.

u can try this:
1. make sure car is off and key is not in ignition.
2. Hold down the reset switch for odometer.
3. While holding down the switch, put key in ignition and (i think) turn key but not crank the engine.
4. Wait till the light goes off.
5. done.

This wat works for my accord and my friend's civic..so u can probably try that. :)

It's easy. You take the Element and put it at the top of a big ass hill. Make sure there is a garbage dump or landfill at the bottom of the hill. Put car in Neutral, take of parking brake and push that p.o.s. down the hill and hope it lands in the dump. Then you don't have to worry about the light.

Did your element not come with an owner's manual of its own?

Oh please forgive me, I didn't mean to offend someone who had been on the board as long as you.

P.S. There's nothing wrong with me. Elements are craptacular.
