Default overspray

so the dude i bought this car from got one of those high quality maaco paint jobs, and apparently they don't know what masking is. he also painted the headlights yellow for some reason or another, which brings me to my question. is there a safe method to remove the overspray from my interior vinyl/plastic, and also get the nasty yellow chipped paint off of my headlights? i'm looking for a chemical that won't eat away at plastic. i was thinking maybe a fine steel wool would do the job, but i dont want to risk scratching my headlights and the clear plastic over my cluster. my google searches say clay bar is the trick, but i don't know how well it would work on the interior, plus its a pain in the ass.
