Is there a difference between rubbing/polishing compounds?
Hi guys! Wanted to know if there is a difference between rubbing and polishing compounds, and which should I use for DIY spraypaint jobs?

the difference in the two are the agressiveness or size of the abrasives in the polish.
the media in the polishing compound is much finer than the rubbing compound.
i'd use the polishing compound on the paint instead of the rubbing compound, it just seems to gritty.
however, if you do use the rubbing compound, follow its use with polishing compound. later.
