Default Best & safe way of removing tree sap?

Over the weekend I had parked my car under a tree hoping for shade from the sun but instead, now my car is covered with tree leaves + tree sap. Since I was out of town, I wasn't able to removed it until I got home... just to find out that the sun has baked them onto the car. What's the best solution to remove them without harming the clear coat? THX!

Washing with soap alone did not work...

Try the Deep Crystal 3 step system. Paint cleaner, Polish, and wax.

Best bet is to use Isopropyl Alcohol the 70% version apply it let it sit for a minute or two, then take your fingernail and pick off the top of the sap without touching the paint. From there you'll probably just have a small ring around where the sap was that you can polish out with a mild abrasive polish such as Poorboy's SSR 2.5 or Menzerna Intensive Polish. If you're looking for an OTC fix, try Scratch-X (will require many passes) or 3M Swirl Remover or Fine Cut Rubbing Compound.

denatured alcohol, trust me it works. use it with q-tips or cotton balls. you may need to wax or use a fine rubbing compound afterwards.

Turtle Bug & Tar remover. This stuff will remove just about anything and won't harm the clear coat.
