adjusting my Skunk 2 coilovers NEED HELP
how the hell do i do this?? the car is like a fist off of the ground right now and were putting on some 18" wheels today just to see what they look like and i need to raise the car up.. how do i do it?? someone said i need a key?
also will 18"s fit on a 90 dx ? |
The process is simple-you MUST have the 2 spanner wrenches to get the big nuts apart. Jack up the car and put it on stands. Remove the wheels and you will see the nuts on the threaded sleeves.
Use the spanners so that the upper nut stay in place and the lower one turns to your left. That gets them apart. Now turn the upper nut as high as you need using a ruler to be able to set the other 3 springs. Be sure to use the spanners to tighten the nuts after you are done. |
what do i do if i dont have the spanner?

That is a real problem. If you don't have them and can wait-call skunk and order a pair. In fact, do it anyway as you will need them in the future. Meanwhile, if you are in a hurry you will need 2 giant channelock type pliers. Not the best solution, but if you are really careful it does work.
Whatever you do DON'T use anything else. |
18s will fit but what is the width and offset.
