need info

i have a '91 crx and an '88 civic 4 door. they both have d15's in 'em and both don't run right now. i also happen to have a d16 from a '95 hatchback that i plan to put in one of the cars (preferrably the unwrecked '88 4 door). my question is, what all do i have to do to make the ecu changes to swap the motors?? i know i'll have to have an ecu for a d16 and i'll have to change the wiring harnesses, but i don't know whether it would be easier to pull a harness out of a wrecked civic or if someone makes a "painless" harness to do the swap.

also, what tranny will work on the d16? both of the ones i already have are good, well, the one in the crx needs a clutch, but i have heard they will work, but i have to mix-and-match clutch components for the engine/transmission.

any one have any advice??

thanx in advance!

If space is not an issue I would fix up the crx but if you need the back seats go the 4 door route. The crx will be considerably faster then the 4 door since it weighs less and looks better to me. As for the technical stuff I will leave that up to the pros.

hasport makes a dpfi to mpfi wiring harness conversion kit...makes it much easier

you can look on the web for cheaper routes like diagrams to help you change your existing wiring harness

there's another post (author was hooligan) i made with several links that give info on swaps into these cars...give it a look
