81 civic engine swap?

Hey,

I have a 1981 3-door 1500DX Civic. I am considering an engine swap in the future. Does anyone know what engines could fit into this car with little modifications?

And, any other suggestions for things I could do to this?

nothing is going to swap right in - go here for a guy that put the D16A1 into 78 Civic hatch:

Seen a 80 that was just rebuilt with high compression pistons and running mikuni or weber side draft carbs. nice setup.
