i own a 90 crx si and i just got a brand new 2000 sohc vtec ex manaul engine with only 5k on it all for free..nice and clean with the computer... i know everyone is thinking why not the b18,b20,or b16.
truth is i wanna push the sohc vtec 2 test it out cause i know i can work it out..
my plans are 2000 sohc vtec
- bottle of zex
-apexi vtec controller
- intake
- staightpipe exhast set up ***custom welded as much as possible..
- fuel sytem the ignition system
the tuned and dynoed

have the ecu upgraded or use another one

this is were i'm lost guys.. help me out? what ecu can i use 2 run it or the best ecu and do i need motor mounts for this swap?
i also needed 2 know is what wriring harness do i use cause thats the only thing i didn't get from the swap??????

use the sohc vtec ecu...it adapts to the wiring in your si...you only have to add 4 wires http://hybird.honda-perf.org and look up wiring for vtec on ef civic/crx

the sohc vtec bolts right in b/c it is a d series motor...doesn't require any modificaiton to fit

hey you also if you are usin the '00 tranny you are gonna have to do some converting... your crx is set up cable that tranny is hydro clutch.

 

where is the best place for me 2 look for this stuff bro, i'm gonna need the hydro tranny set up and what wiring harness??????????
