Default What engine will fit into my 86 CRX non -si!!

I need help. Im deciding whether to rebuild my engine or swap it out. I have no idea what kind of engine will swap into my 20 yr old car. Mind you, my car is carbed.

Well since its a non si and you know its carbed so swapping any motor out is going to be a pain in the wiring wise. But beyond that hasport does make a b series kit for the 1st gen crx.

umm, I would stick with a rebuild.

Pull the motor, clean it up, new stuff, stick it back in and buy a 91 Si if you want to fix anything up.

Swaping a 86 with a b series motor is a big pain....

If you really want to swap it and stay carb'ed, you need to go with an Si engine with an aftermarket carb and manifold, or beg an importer to get you a dual carb'ed browntop ZC.

Cost? I don't know, you will need to have it imported by special request.

The browntop ZC is not a US market engine, so no, it will not be California legal.

You might be able to get around California law by fitting a ZC dual carb intake system to a US 86-87 Integra D16A1 engine.
