i keep getting a code 17 but my speed cable is hooked up. can anyone help thanx

 

Check the wiring to the cluster. It could be just corrosion on the contacts. (use some electrical contact cleaner and a q-tip)

(my 1991 crx si was throwing the same code and I fixed it by fixing the ground to the cluster. The speed sensor is in the cluster on my car; not on the transmission.)
