Ok, I have a new problem.
On my new 91 CRX SI which I purchased a month ago, I have some lose hoses. I have been trying to figure out what goes where, and I now know that stuff seems hooked up very wrong.
I have gotten many books and manuals, and looked over everything.
I have tried hooking up my connections different ways, but all the new ways I tried didn't seem right and always make my CEL come on.
I was wondering if anyone who has a CRX with a B18A in it could give me some advice.
My problem is this:
I have the CRX connections, circled in Blue in this picture:



And I need to hookup this engine to them, which is circled in blue.
It seems like I need more things that I don't have which I circled in red in it:



Does anyone know what I should do or any place to give me a clue?
What would be really helpful would be a diagram from someone who has done it right :-)

What code is your car throwing?

The MAP sensor is really the only critical one there. It needs to be connected to post-TB vacuum, best if not t'd off another line.

Vac lines aren't that important as long as they go to the right places. Missing parts and wires are something else.

 

The code it throws when I Start messing with it is 43, which is a fuel system one. Would them being hooked up wrong really mess with my mileage, as I only get 12 mpg. I also have a bad o2 sensor which may cause the bad mpg though, should get my new one anyday now.

 

damn. 12mpg for a crx!!!!!!!!!!!! ouch

Where is your map sensor going? Is it going to a place on the back of the manifold. #1 fix the O2 sensor. From what I can see of the pics ( there bad though) it seems you have the dash pot unhooked.

 

I'm having the same problem. I also have the b18a1 map sensor and vac fittings, but they won't bolt up to the '91 CRX Si wiring harness (there have actually been a bunch of wiring problems so far, if anybody knows of a good place to look for b18a1 wiring in a CRX, please let me know). Are T-fittings the way to go with the vac on the CRX map sensor?

 

I would advise against running the Map sensor off a T'ed line. Try to run it on a vacuum hose connected straight to the manifold.
