car shakes when brakeing at high speed

Default car shakes when brakeing at high speed

im doing this b16 swap in my 91 civic hb, but before I took her off the road when I was going over 70 or 80 and was hard on the brakes the front end would shake some. im thinking maybe its rotors but not sure, any ideas? thanks

out-of-parallel rotors, usually. Have them turned or replace them along with new pads.

it could be the rotors. i would replace the rotor and brake pads at same time. if its not that then it could be your axles cuz on mine i had the same problem.

Yea, I have the same exact problem. I was thinking rotors too. It is horrible when I try to slam on the brakes. I feel like the car is gonna fall apart.

Yeah, me too. I know I need to replace those damn rotors though. B16a's really cut the life of brake parts

It's rotors. I replaced all mine a few months back after a 'shakey' Tahoe trip. Car stops smooth as silk now.

True, ever since I noticed my car vibrating at high speed braking, I started engine braking waaay more often , which slows brake wear, and the car doesn't vibrate. I still need new rotors though
