Leaky hatch
I've got the "leaky hatch" syndrome again. From what little info I've been able to gather, the usual leak comes from where the roof seam meets the rear quarter. What is the best way to reseal this? Since the sealer is put between the panels before it's welded together it seems like it would be tough to reseal it properly.
Anybody had any success and what did you use??

Mine leaked for about 3 years before i figured it out by reading here. I pryed up the strip on the side that was leaking, using a large flathead screwdriver, being careful not to bend the strip. I then used some of that strong welders glue you buy at walmart and spread on the little hairline cracks under the strip. I then re applied the strip and have'nt had a leak since. Mine dripped(when it rained) from where the shock thing that holds up the hatch meets the car itself.

You can just use silicon or something to skeet over the hairline cracks, then re apply the strip. No, not jb weld. I used a glue called heavy duty welder or something like that. It was or is a clear silicon type glue. I did'nt have any silicon so i just used what i had and it worked fine. You would never think that it would or could leak in those little cracks, but it did mine. The cracks were barely noticable under the strip.
YEP yep i had the same prblem
