My exhaust Sounds raspy when it hits VTEC.
Well, I have been working on my car lately and fixing all the ECU coeds it has been throwing at me. I only have to fix the IACV now, and I will be good. Well, when I drive the car, it gets REAL LOUD when I hit VTEC. BUt it also gets really raspy. I hate how it sounds. It doesn't sounds like a rice can, just raspy. I LOVE how it sounds until it hits VTEC. IDK what it would be. What should I add to my exuast to make it stop sounding like that but still have good exhaust flow? Right now, I have a ITR 4-2-1 header, no CAT, 2 resonators, and a Tanade Racing Medallion Muffler. I love the sound of it, but when it hits VTEC it gets raspy, and I am tired of it. My friends RSX S sounds bad as hell when he is ridin and it hits VTEC. I want it to sound smooth. Mine sounds mean, then just nasty after it hits VTEC. Any suggestions?

yeah i don't know about the itr 4-2-1? also no test pipe will ruin the packing in your tanabe muffler. no filtration i heard eats away at the packing, my friends worldsport sound like shit after 2 months of running a test pipe
I have a similar problem on my car, the exhaust and de-cat (mongoose) soundes awesome wen i fitted it, like months later a little rasp appeared, i took it back and they told me it was the manifold gasket which was blowing and causing the sound, so i've just replaced the header (ceramic coated 4-1 DC) and all gaskets and it still does it.....So it looks like its the exhaust and its booked in with them to be replaced now. So anyways let us know if the hi-flow cat make a differance in sound! laters and good look.
