Intake fitments....
Hey guys thought I would ask you before I start wasting time (which isn't alot).
I have an AEM cold air intake off my 00 Civic Si. Will it fit on my 1991 Civic Si? I also have an Iceman cold air intake off my 1993 Civic Ex. Will it fit on my 1991 Civic Si? Thanks a bunch. |
no it will not fit perfectly, but you might if you tweak some stuff around the engine bay or you dont have the battery in the way
|
The EX intake is more likely to fit, the B16a has a bigger TB so I doubt that will work. However there is more room in the engine bay of EG's so and CAI for that car is very unlikely to fit. You'd have a chance if it were an SRI, but I don't think so unless maybe you cut the pipe and reworked it. Try it, it doesn't take long to test fit intakes.
What do you have on the SI right now? And yeah, the battery is in a really shitty location, I had to move it in the back of the car just to use the stock intake that came with my motor with a cone filter on it. |
but that is what the clamp is for, once you use rubber connector piece to hold it on it should work

I know it will not take long. I'm just being lazy and trying to avoid the heat & bugs outside :) The battery I have now is a Odyssey batter. So it's smaller and more room. |
should fit then

Well went ahead and tried my 00 Civic Si AEM CAI on my 91 Civic Si. Very very tight fit but it worked. Had to move the battery over a bit and wrap some rubber hoses around the positive post, but it fits :)
