K series motor in a CRX???
This might sound like a dumb question but I was wondering if you can put a K Series motor in a CRX? If so does anyone have pics? I not asking why you should or if it is stupid, I just want to know if you can.

with the right funding, it can be done.
|
Def can be done. Just like tonysstudio stated, you have the cash then it won't be a problem. Hasport has the mounts already.
Work is required, but it can be done. A few people have done them. I've seen on other board and those persons are probalby on this board too. |
I would like to see pics! Screw that I want to drive one with that motor. It'd be like... woah!
|
Yeah, that sure would be something.

alot of work you should aim more for a b18c1 swap, not even worth the trouble unless you get the k20a (jdm r, not the k20a2 or 3 as the gains can be easily compared to a b18 with mods) and then with the serious involvement the k swap requires also comes the pricetag of the K. youre looking at 5Gs to start plus your (or someone elses) labor. You are also looking at converting obd-0 to obd-2, which is a pain in the ass. This is not a bolt in project.

nice though if you have the money to do this buy an S2K
first pix ex, second crx |
yea I was just wondering, because I have never heard of anyone doing it

Yep doable, HASport makes the motor mount kits for it. Stock K20A2 into an EF chassis would be an 11-second car. :eek4:
