Default idle ?

I had a problem with my idle awhile back with it jumping from about 650 to about 1500 rpm's and then dropping back down, it would do it repeatedly and I was trying to figure it out so I pulled the plug off the eacv and it stopped. I talked to many people that told me they had the same problem and the just replaced the eacv. so I replaced it and about 2 weeks later it has gone back to doing the same thing. just wondering if anybody in here knows what I can do. its in my 88 crx si with stock motor

Maybe its the tps sensor, a guy I know had the same problem so he switched out the throttle body with his friends just to see if it fixed it and it did, so he bought a throttle body from the junkyard. I don't think you can just buy the tps, thats why he bought the whole throttle body.

Could be a vacuum leak. Check or replace your lines.

What about this problem (is related to this a bit):

If i hold my rpms at about 2000, it would periodically (every 5 seconds) drop down to almost 1000 and go back up to 2000. I do not move my foot off the pedal, it does so on it's own. What could be the problem here?
