Need some pointers on removing the AC!

I need someone to give me some pointers on how to remove my AC out of my 91 honda civic.

This is not a hard project-HOWEVER-be very aware that the Freon should be removed by a professional. Once the system is completely purged it is a matter of unbolting all of the pieces under the hood. You will either remove or move out of the way the radiator to get to the condensor. The pump and bracket are quite simple as are the wiring, AC Fan assembly and the rest of it. Under the dash is a housing with the only part that can be a pain if you don't have the original spacer going fromt he fan to the heater core. You will need to buy (dealer or yard) 2 special rubber plugs is you remove the unit under the dash-they fill the stock holes for the pipes and wiring as well as the drain tube.

Hope this gives you an idea of what it is about. You can get a diagram from the Majestic or Manchester websites-or use your Helm manual.

Yeah, don't let let the freon out into the atomosphere, I belive it's like a 25 million dollar fine if caught.

If there is any left in his system. More than likely it's probably all leaked out anyway, being a 91, if he's never had it recharged.
