Default B18 swap into 2nd gen civic HB Question??

My cousin bought a B18 (dont know which 1 exactly) for his 90 civic HB and didnt bother to do a little research. I think he ran into a problem getting it mounted. What mounts will work for the swap and axle he will need or any info anyone can give on this swap.

He need's a set of hasport mounts, he can use the axles from the integra and he has to have the shiftlinkage cut and shortend.

No, unless he wants to make his own. But that would cost more IMO, depending on how much he believes his time is worth.

Dont go cheap on mounts... Or youll just spend more in the long run buying more axles in a short time, or worse (clearance issues, wouldnt want the engine to sit too low and scape the oil pan)... So I reccomend your friend get a nice set... Hasport, Place Racing, HCP Engineering, ect...

The reason I ask...He bought the HB without engine and tranny so he bought the B18w/tranny and already paid the mechanic to drop it in and came across this problem. So he's pretty much out of $$$ and needs something for now to drop it in. THe engine he bought is the B18B1 if that helps..
For info for myself..what is the difference between the B18B1 & B18C1??
Why does one have more displacement than the other??

B18c1 in 94&up gsr motor and is vtec. I have a set of ProFab motor mounts for 88-91 civic/crx for sale. They are brand new. I bolted a motor in one of my customer's cars but he decided to sell the car so i took out the motor. The mounts were never run on. I'll let them go for $250 shipped. If your friend has the money let me know.

I thought he was putting it into a 2nd gen civic(like the title says),not a 4th??

By the sounds of it he should have done more research and homework before he shelled out the cash for a motor that will not just drop right in.

B18B1 1.8 16V DOHC PGM-FI 1834 140hp@6300rpm 121tq@5200rpm 92-93 Integra GS

B18C1 1.8 16V DOHC VTEC PGM-FI 1797 170hp@7600rpm 128tq@6200rpm 94-01 Integra GS-R

As u can see, huge difference... But as for mounts, they are B series and are the same... There is nothing he can 'throw in there' for now... The cheapest mounts are like eBay specials that will cost $150, and I can almost gaurantee he will have serious problems if he installs them, and will have to shell out more than he would of if he just bought a good set of mounts... I would just throw in that extra $100-$150 to get a decent set of mounts...
