Another Question, which cams would someone recommend for a B16A1 without really putting out some serious $$$$ but would still get some good performance. I also heard cams are good for mid & top end only giving some 10 extra hp. Is that true? Are their any sites other than EBAY . Will the cams be the first choice or get cam gears first for best performance.. Thanks Very Much

 

cam gears are just for tuning dont really do anything at all.....

 

Yea they don't make that much of a noticible difference but CTR are better from my expereinces and eBay has pretty much all the cams, I should know I sell some of them and I sell on eBay that is my living

I noticed a nice difference with CTR cams. Skunk makes a good cam. Crower too. Gets a bit pricey but you can nab CTR or ITR (get 00-01 ITR cams they have same specs as CTR) cams on ebay for around 400 and as long as you dont screw with your rev limiter you dont have to upgrade the VT to use CTR/ITR cams.

 

Skunk2 makes the best in my opion but they cost a lot of money

 

there are better cams for cheaper than skunk2

 

Good looking out, so was I right about mid & top end power only w/ cams.I might have to upgrade to CTR because I'm suppose to have my ecu chipped because I ended up w/ an automatic ecu instead of a manual ecu.

 

just buy an ecu.
