Default Console

Yeah I went to junkyard today in White Plains,MD. They had a center console in a 95 TEG . It was filthy, is $35 a good deal for whole console.I might go back & get it. The only major problem was the wires from the lighter I had to rip apart. It was a pain in the ass. Since I had to rip the wires apart is it still worth getting or just pay more for a cleaner one that the wires are still intack. I know if I go without ash tray & cigarette lighter I can use my CDplayer. Would their be another way I can still have my cigarette lighter & ash tray along w/cup holders to use. Let me know what anyone suggest.

1st off $35 from a junkyard seems kinda high,at least around where i am from it does and no there is no other way you can have both. You cannot have both, you must choose,Cig lighter/ashtray/cupholder OR Cd player.
Remind me why you can't just put the Cd player in the stock spot?

Oh, the reason is because in the stock spot is my cassette player. The other head unit is for CD's. It came out of a Ford Explorer. The CD player plugs into back of the cassette player, so I can play tapes & CD's.I kind of thought that was too much considering 1 it's dirty as hell. I'd be better off getting new.I also figured even if I get a new one & decide to do away w/ the lighter, cup holder etc I could have someone relocate my lighter.

Forget the cass. player.
Go out and get a Cd player!
Use your stock spot and get a 1st or 3rd gen Integra console.By doing that and getting an aftermaket Cd player, one you'll have more space with those consoles and have a cig lighter/cup holders etc,and two this will solve your dillema of what to do.

Cliff notes:
Scrap the cass/cd player reloating your cig lighter combo idea.It is more work that can be avoided by....
Getting a new cd player, use the stock spot and get a 1st or 3rd Gen Integra Console.Problem solved!
