Default '88 Civic DX engine swap

I am thinking about sawpping out my stock engine for a B16a1 or ZC engine. Could someone give me the pros and cons of each.

I'm always looking for more power but I don't want to get over my head with the swap either. I'm willing to let go of the dream of the vtec if it's gonna be a pain to make happen.

well if youw ant something cheap then go with the ZC engine and since I see your user name is Civic/DX then I am assuming you probably have the dual point and you will have to install a multipoint fuel injector, thats if I am not mistaken!! But I would do a search and see what you come up with and I am pretty sure other members will be able to help yo out beter than I can!!

Yeah Dx is DPFI which sucks as far as swaps go you will have to wire it MPFI there are a couple posts on that less than a couple weeks old.

You guys are right. It is a DPFI. what is involved in wiring for a MPFI. Can that be done with the existing stock engine?

yea you would have to use a complete d16a6(si) intake manifold with throttle body, fuel rail, and injectors. and you would have to do wiring if i am correct.
