New Tires for 2000 TL

I currently need to replace the tires on my TL. You guys have any suggestion as to any good tires that would make my ride smoother and corner better?

You should go to www.tirerack.com to check out the selections

I have always liked continentals. It also depends on where you live and what kind of ride you want.

tirerack's tire decision guide is a good help... theres a lot of factors... your driving style, weather (snow, rain... etc), budget... I'd say Michelin's are very nice, well rounded tires... but they come at a big price!

I'm also about to get 4 new tires for my 2k 3.2TL. I'm deciding b/t the Continental ContiExtremeContact vs. BridgeStone Turanza LS-H vs. BridgeStone Potenza RE950. Which one do yall think is the best of the 3? I've read the survey on TireRack but is curious on the opinion of members here since yall drive Tls too.
Also, I've read on some older post that the biggest tire size that can fit on the OEM rim is 225/55R16 - right? And, would this cause any rubbing? it is about .8" more in width compare to the OEM tire. Do you have to do any offset? The guy at TireRack told me that if I buy the 225 tire for my car, then the warranty is void since it's not the correct size for the car. But i heard that tire warranty sucks anyway, can't really get them to replace the tire if it's damage...
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
