Default Comptech air filter

does anyone have the Comptech air filter mod done on their car?? i want to kno if the filter came oiled or not, cuz mine didn't...
they gave me a bottle of oil to spray it on...but it wasn't enough..
anyone have this problem??
the instructions has it to spray the oil on a couple of times, waiting a couple of mins in between each time for it to soak up the oil....but there wasn't enough oil to put on the first time
confused....

btw, were we suppose to spray oil on both side of the filter???

Get the K&N filter recharger kit. It comes with a can of oil. Also you have to lightly coat both sides until the filter is pinkish.

The filter can't be pinkish, because one side of filter is red and the other side is yellow.

Are you sure that you can use the K&N recharger for the Comptech filter? The Comptech filter is a foam element, not cotton like the K&N.

:dunno: Does Comptech sell the oil? I doubt they will sell a filter without the oil.

I have been told not to use the K&N recharge.

I have the comptech foam filter, it comes with a one use spray can of oil.

You can order more from comptech whenever you re-oil, usually every other oil change.

They do sell the oil, it's basically the same thing as the K&N...
