Default Clicking noise from '99 TL

I just bought a 99 TL and i notice faint clicking noise coming from the engine on the passenger side. I was just wondering if this was normal or if I should have it looked at? Any help would be appreciated.

Car likely just needs a valve adjustment.

Is it constant ticking or does it go faster when RPM speed increases?

It's a contant clicking when idling. When the engine is reved up you can't really hear it.

sounds like a valve adjustment to me too... hopefully nothing needs to be replaced. have you noticed any funny exhaust smells or decreased power / fuel economy that might coincide with this new tick?

The thing is, if it is valves needing adjustments, then the ticking would be faster when the rpm goes up, not constant.

he said that he can only hear it at idle... so it's not necessarily constant.

Clogged EGR ports can also cause the engine to make a ticking noise very similiar to when valves are out of adjustment.
