Default installation of Infinity Basslink

Hi ,
I called Circut City to ask how the Basslink would be installed. Sales gut told me the radio would have to be removed inorder to do the job.
Is this true? can anyone reccomend another place to have this insalled?
thanks

The only thing that will need to be removed is the back seat to access the stock amplifier. Basically, all you need to find is the remote turn on wire so when you turn your radio on, it will send a signal to the Basslink to turn on. Plus, you will need to hook up the signal wires going to the stock sub to the Basslink which is very easy to do. A shop should not take more than one to two hours to do this.

Default Cl

I drive a 2003 CL Type S Navi. I have a Basslink I am pulling out of my previous car and would like to install in this one.

First, will I still need to run a power lead from the battery to the trunk?

Second, will my CL have the same connections for the sub signal wires, even though it doesn't have the stock sub like the TL?

Thanks!

Yes, you will need to run the power wires directly from the battery and a ground wire directly to the chassis. You will need to get a hi-lo adpater to convert the signal to RCA plugs, you can get the wires directly from the amplifier which is hidden behind the right side panel in the trunk. Also, you'll need to hook up the turn-on wire too. I did this for my Brother's TL a few years ago but I no longer have the wiring diagram. Just google it and you'll find it.
