ugh pyramid... a RF punch sub will give you more low end than that sub. The amp sounds decent enough though.
Give it a whirl, and tell us how it sounds, I'd recommend entry level subs from infinity, alpine, RF, kenwood, ... and for a little more money perhaps a fantastic Image Dynamics IDQ or Shiva.
I dont know what your budget is and what about the rest of your sound system... is this just an add-on to your stock outfit?

Well, from what I've heard, the fastest cheapest upgrade to a sound system is the subs, so that's why I'm doing it, I plan on getting other new speakers, plus adding two 6x9's to the rear deck.
(and just for anyone's info, the only thing I've done to the audio system is got an alpine deck 7872)
And as far as those subs go, I know they're not great but do you think it's a good deal if I'm getting them for 28 bucks plus s/h.
Might as well ask about the amp too then, I'm getting it for 150

I've been a long time proponent of the theory that for most consumers, while you don't need to buy the upper eschelon of products, you also should stay away from the low end too. These subs are in the basement.
Think about getting one good driver from a well respected mfg. - look at the "off" brands like eDesigns or Adire.
I guess what I'm saying is that it doesn't make sense to spend your money just so you can have two 12's...just to have them. Save some money and do it right the first time.

If you want REAL power for little $$$ - go get a JBL BP600.1 from ikesound.com.
That's my honest opinion.

Yeah I argee wait for the money to do it right. If you really can only afford 75$ then wait imo its not worth it. Wait till you have enough money to do it right. The first time otherwise its a wasted 75$. Give a reasonble budget to work with.
