Default Getting the factory tape deck out

Hey, just wondering if anyone can help. How do you get a factory tape deck out of a 1992 Geo Prizm. Do you have to take the entire center console out, or can you just rip the tape deck out. Any help, or if anyone knows of a good web site, would be great. Thanks.

Try searching for some Geo forums... and maybe you'll hit upon some audio messageboards with people there for help.

Good suggestion moofoo. If all else fails, there is always the old fashioned way of removing the radio from the dash. A good ol' crowbar and/or sledgehammer does the trick.

Are you planning to replace it with something you already have? I got mine through www.crutchfield.com and it came with all the instructions.

Try looking for info on the same year Toyota Corolla. IIRC, they shared many similar parts.
