Default 6x9 need suggestion

Should i go for just 6x9's or go for the components in the rear. I've already got 3 way MB Quart components up front and the imaging is great. But as far as the rears i stilll got my factory 6x9's. I know people say that the rears aren't that important. So should i save $ go matchng MB Quart 6x9. Or go all out and get components for the rear. Need expert advice thanks.

Yes, the rears are very important. If you are using subs, you can cross the rear deck speakers at a higher frequency so they play mostly mids. If you don't have subs, a very good set of 6x9's are recomended. I use Boston Accoustic, and they are among the best. You can also look at Quartz, Alpine, JBL. I would recomend getting the speakers to match as closely as possible to your fronts. But don't let anyone tell you they aren't important.

i wouldnt call the rear speakers "very important."

if done right, imaging can be perfect without the rear speakers. im happy without mine.

no need for components in the rear.

I think if you feel it's necessary to have rears at all go with a matching set of MB Quarts. The only time that a rear fill can be necessary in a car is if you're doing a higher quality multimedia setup in your vehicle with Dolby Digital and are looking for rear channel effects otherwise, they're just fill. I think if you have a really strong front stage, rears aren't necessary. Just an opinion.

Just get a pair of MB Quart 6x9's. They're like around $120 online.
