Default 93 Acura Factory Bose system. Question

Does the acura have built in amplifiers?
Im working on a 93 legend, and it has bose, and im assuming there are built in amps, but theres an aftermarket head unit installed. How could that be working with these bose component sets? Im trying to figure out if the stereo is powering the speakers or if the car amps are.

if it has the bose system, there is (or was) an amplifier. whoever installed the aftermarket head unit would have had to bypass the amp, or install an integrator, that would cut down the signal from the aftermarket deck so it wouldn't overpower the factory amp. pull the head unit and look behind there. if you see a box with gain adjustments on it it's most likely an amp integrator
